Bond Tracker — Privacy Policy

Bond Tracker records where a person is in the jail bonding process so that bonding companies and families do not have to keep telephoning the jail. It is operated by Georgia Law Enforcement.
We hold a person's name, date of birth and booking photograph for three days after they are released, and then we delete them. We hold the times of each step for thirty days. After that, only counts and averages remain, with nobody's name in them.
What we hold, and for how long
- The person being bonded: jail ID number, full name, date of birth, and the booking photograph the jail already holds. Deleted three days after release.
- The steps: the time of each stage, which member of staff recorded it, and the name and badge number of the officers involved. Kept thirty days, then reduced to totals.
- Totals: counts and average durations per member of staff and per company. Kept indefinitely. No individual is named and no record can be rebuilt from them.
- Mobile numbers given by a customer who asked to be kept posted. Deleted with the file, three days after release.
- Staff accounts: a name and a six-digit code, stored only as a scrambled value that cannot be turned back into the code.
Text messages
If a customer gives their mobile number to a bonding company while arranging a bond, they receive a link to follow that bond and up to three updates: when the jail receives the paperwork, when the person is brought down, and when they are released.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop them immediately.
- Reply HELP, or call 678-944-9456.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies, and is never more than a few messages per bond.
- We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers with anybody, for any purpose. They are used to send those messages and nothing else, and are deleted with the file.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Who can see what
- A bonding company sees only its own files. It never sees another company's.
- The jail's staff see every file at that jail, because every one passes through their hands.
- A customer following a bond sees the stages and times only — never a name, a date of birth, a photograph, a charge, or a predicted release time.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking of any kind.
- Nothing is sold or shared with anybody outside the bonding company and the jail.
- We hold nothing about the charge, the case, or the outcome. This system knows only that a bond was arranged and how long each step took.
Corrections
A recorded time cannot be edited or deleted by anyone. If a step is recorded in error, the jail's bonding administrator can mark it corrected, giving a written reason. The original entry stays visible alongside the correction.

Write to info@georgialea.com. Because records are deleted on the schedule above, anything more than thirty days old no longer exists in a form that could identify anybody.
